Restore peace of mind in your home or place of business.
Air purification solutions for restaurants, schools, offices, churches, homes, and more — based on technology developed by NASA.
Safer Air Solutions
Known as ActivePure® Technology, this solution was built upon research NASA did in the 1990s to clean the air in the space station. It’s been proven to eliminate 99.9% of live SARS-CoV-2 in FDA-compliant lab tests, and that’s the virus that causes what we now know as COVID-19. (Read more here.)
- ActivePure Technology was validated with stringent testing against live SARS-CoV-2, not a proxy strain like some competing technologies use.
- These tests were completed by Biosafety Level 3/4 combination lab teams following the strictest FDA protocols.
- The results? Consistent success rate at eliminating 99.9% of the virus within 3 minutes.
How does this air cleaning technology work?
ActivePure Technology draws oxygen and water molecules found in the air through its patented honycomb-style matrix. This process creates rather powerful airborne oxidizers that are released back out into the room, which seek out and destroy DNA/RNA viruses like SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus).
And of course, that includes H1N1 (Swine Flu), H5N8 (Avian Bird Flu), and even Hepatitis A (HAV).
This disinfection process runs 24/7 in your home or business and creates no byproducts. It’s safe to use during business hours while people are in the space (when it’s most beneficial), and does not emit any chemicals or ozone.
History of ActivePure
Electrolux had been making healthy indoor air products since 1924. Over that time, they served over 50 million businesses and homes alike, establishing a trusted reputation.
Outside of solutions for homeowners, Electrolux provided air filtration solutions to bars, medical offices, schools, government buildings, museums, gyms, grocery stores, and other types of commercial buildings.
That process continued for decades successfully. Then in the early 1990s NASA funded the Wisconsin Center for Space Automation and Robitics to come up with a solution for the ethylene gas that was building up around plants grown in spacecraft environments. That ethylene gas caused plants to wither prematurely, which was holding that concept back from viability. These early developments would become crucial in years to come.
In 1998 Electrolux USA was purchased by Joe Urso and associates, which ultimately became Aerus as we know it today. Aerus has been a successful healthy living company ever since, and has continued developing air purification products since 2001.
In 2009 Aerus invested in ActivePure, a NASA-certified space technology. Through continues improvements, Aerus increased the efficacy of ActivePure and earned global patents.
That improved technology has been inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame — one of 75 technologies to do so in the past 30 years.
Aerus is the parent company to Vollara, which is a distribution arm for the ActivePure Technology.
